Note from the editors
Welcome to the inaugural issue of the His Majesty, the Baby Literary Magazine.
Why are comedians stewarding a literary magazine? Because our lives have all been made much richer by engagement with written work, and we want to see what happens when a magazine run by a comedy troupe publishes really beautiful poetry and literature. Every issue will include a piece by a troupe member.
We find these pieces of writing hilarious even at their most dead-serious serious. By that, we mean that we feel loved by this writing even as it exposes us to the flames. And that love lets us laugh into the flames–when they burn, tickle, or burn-tickle.
